Relay Coach:

• Helps to organize and attend all practices
• Helps to organize and attend all meets

• Provides recommendation to the Head Coach to strategically place each athlete in a race they will feel comfortable and grow their self esteem throughout the season
• Provides recommendation to the Head Coach to strategically place each athlete in the appropriate position where they will score for the team
• Requires the patients to deal with parents who constantly challenge your decisions
• Teaches athletes how to properly hand off the baton
• Requires Rutgers certification certificate (classes provided by the town)
• Has access to Microsoft Excel
• Has access to email

Amount of time required

- A few hours during each week to discuss relay teams with the head coach

- A few hours at each practice instructing runners

- A few hours at each meet preparing runners

Assistance will be available to help in the transition of this task.
